First Haircuts

We are taking family pictures on Tuesday and decided it was time for Jacob to get his first haircut. She just gave him a little trim and cut over his ears. He did a great job!


Kiah didn't get a haircut today. But last year about this time, I looked into the bathroom and Kiah was giving herself her first haircut. I had left the scissors out from giving Jon a haircut. Here is a picture of her holding her hair. Since she has curly hair it was hard to tell how much she cut.

Thoughts from a 4 year old

Last week on the way to the dentist, we pasted the UK hospital where Kiah was born. She always has lots of questions about that day. This time she just had a statement. She said "Mommy, you didn't have to ride a donkey to the hospital, you got to go in a car." At first I wondered what she was talking about. But then I remembered that Mary rode on a donkey to have baby Jesus.

Just another week

On Monday, as we were taking the mail out, Jacob wiped out on the driveway. He scratched up his face and his hands. He cut his mouth in two places. Then on Wednesday, Kiah was running out of her room and Jacob was running in and there was a collision. Thus resulting in Jacob getting another bloody lip.

Jacob is learning another new skill this week, time-out.

I took this picture of Kiah in Uganda. It has become my favorite picture of her. This week she said the cutest thing. Jon was walking out of the office and she said "He is a really good guy."


I tried on Wednesday to get the kids to take a picture together. After about a half-hour, I surrender defeat.
