Moving

We are moving. I thought it would be better to post this picture than one of our actual house right now. It is a disaster area. It would be easier if we were moving to a different house, but we are moving unto a 10x10 storage unit. This move has several dynamics: stuff we won't need for the next three years, stuff we will need in England, stuff we will need until we leave for England.

Also the picture depicts are life for the new few months, we will be nomads. On Friday, we will leave on vacation with Jon's parents for a week. Then we will be going to Oakdale Christian Academy for 6 weeks. We worked at Oakdale before we went to Africa. After that we will be heading to Jon's parents until September 15th. During that time we will be going around telling family and friends goodbye.

So it will be a busy summer, we will continue to post all our our adventures.

The Plague of Cicadas

We have been blessed with the plague of the 17 year cicadas. There are millions of them. The have invaded every tree in the neighborhood. In fact, they are so loud you can barely stand to be outside in the afternoon. The worse thing about them is their ability to fly at you and land close to your ear or in your hair. Kiah has been deathly afraid of them. Luckily, they will be dying off in another week or so and we won't see them again for 17 years. Here are some pictures from our backyard tree.

You can read more about the cicadas here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magicicada

A big storm came last Monday night and
destroyed the only tree in the yard.

Kiah the Artist

Kiah has become quite the artist. I became one of her subjects, well I was until daddy came home and she said it was a picture of him. It is still me though, I am the only one in the family that wears glasses. She drew circles around the eyes. Whoever the picture is I think she did a fine job.

Sorry about the lapse in the posting, we have been busy. I will try to catch up and post a few things everyday. On May 24, Jon graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary. Here are a few pictures.
