We had a great trip here, no delays or lost luggage. The kids did great. It was so smooth and we are so thankful.
I don't have any pictures ready to go yet, but will next week after we get internet.
Our flat is much better than we expected. It is bigger and has a fresh coat a paint and new mattresses. We have been busy traveling around town trying to find things we need. Jon is out today looking for a cycle. A good used one will cost about $80.00. We have learned that nothing is cheap here.
Since we won't have a car, we have been learning the bus system. There are a few stops close to were we live. I do miss a car when it comes to grocery shopping.
The kids are adjusting great. We haven't had any sleep issues with time change. We found a little playground just 3 blocks from us. Kiah made the trip to the store with me yesterday and is learning that you have to walk a lot here.

5 days and counting
The time is finally here, it is hard to believe. Today we are busy packing. Tomorrow we make the long trek to Annapolis, MD, it is about a 12 hour drive. We will be there until we fly out on Monday afternoon.
We will arrive Tuesday afternoon in Cambridge, England.
It will take some time before we will have things up and running there, check back in a few weeks!!!

Leaving Oakdale
Yesterday we left Oakdale, were we have spent the last 7 weeks. When I, (Jennifer) first came to Oakdale in 1996 there was only 1 staff kid. As you can tell by the picture there are a lot more, 24 exactly. Kiah and Jacob loved playing with all there friends this summer and they will miss them very much.

Summer Fun
We have really enjoyed this summer, especially our time here at Oakdale. Here are s few pictures of the past few weeks.
We traveled to IL for my sister's wedding.
(From left to right: me, sister Aubrey, sister Ellie, birth-father Harvey, sister Amanda, birth-mother Colleen, brother Eric and sister Brittany)
Our family tree has a few forks in it. I will explain the best I can. All the girls in the picture have the same father. Ellie, Amanda, Eric and I have same mother. Ellie, Amanda and I have the same mother and father.

A brief update
It has been awhile since an update. We are currently living at Oakdale Christian Academy. Jon and I worked here at Oakdale before going to Africa in 2004. Jon has been helping put trusses and a roof onto a new staff duplex, while I have been working on a new website. Kiah and Jacob love Oakdale. There are about 24 staff kids to play with all day long. Jacob loves it because there are railroad tracks right across the street. It has been good to be back, we have many great friends here.
Things are moving along for our big move to Cambridge. We have purchased our tickets for September 15th (we fly out of Washington, D.C.), and have received our visas-praise Jesus. Also, we now have a place to live-another praise. We are going to rent a 3 bedroom flat about 3 miles from Jon's college. I am so thankful it is on the first floor, and very close to the bus stop. It is part of university housing, so I am sure we will meet lots of new people.

It is amazing to see how God has brought everything together. The only thing to figure out is how to get us, the kids and all our stuff by plane, trains and buses to our new place.
